I’m so excited to share with you the new Bake Box that has launched this month. So, feeling inspired, I decided to start of simple by decorating some biscuits…
I used Niomi Smart’s Gingerbread Biscuit Recipe, which I’ve been wanting to try for a while. The recipe uses coconut palm sugar, which won’t spike your blood sugar like caster does, and also black molasses. This stuff looks like a jar full of tar, but it’s full of iron and many people actually take a small spoonful daily in order to reap its health benefits. The biscuits are lovely, they taste just like normal gingerbread and have that great biscuit ‘snap’ when you break them in half.
For the icing, I reached for the pink Rainbow Dust gel in my Bake Box, which was amazing – totally hassle-free and such a concentrated colour. My Mum always complains about decorating colour staining her fingers, so she was eyeing this up big time. The piping back was so easy to use and so easy to wash up as well, which I think is just as important when it comes to baking!
I honestly had so much fun in the kitchen this weekend with Bake Box and I can’t wait to try out some more of their exclusive techniques and recipes!
